Terms & Conditions – Jules Stories

1. Introduction

Welcome to Jules Stories! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, services, and products (including pre-orders), operated by Story Bug Ltd headquartered at 57 Ravensbury Road Sw18 4RX. Tax ID: 487 2920 54. By using our website or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms. We may update them occasionally, so please check this page regularly.

2. Pre-Order Campaign

Our Jules pre-order campaign offers early supporters the opportunity to purchase Jules at a discounted price of £129 (instead of £169). This special pre-order includes:

  • One Jules unit

  • One costume for Jules

  • 12 months of access to our subscription-based storytelling service

Pre-orders are fully refundable, and you can cancel at any time before the product ships. We’ll keep you informed via email about shipping timelines and updates.

3. Subscription Terms


Your pre-order includes 12 months of access to interactive content. However, this is subject to a Fair Usage Policy, designed to ensure an enjoyable experience for all users. We currently define “unlimited” as up to 5 hours of voice to voice interaction per month. This cap allows us to manage server costs and maintain service quality. We may adjust this cap with reasonable notice.

After the first 12 months, a paid subscription will be required to continue accessing stories. The current price is £4/month, but this may change in the future. We’ll give you clear notice of any price changes at least 1 month in advance, and you can cancel anytime.

4. Returns & Cancellations


You may cancel your pre-order or subscription at any time through your account or by contacting us directly at hello@jules-stories.com. Refunds will be issued within 10 business days.


5. Data Use & Privacy

At Jules Stories, your family’s privacy and trust are at the heart of everything we do.

We use carefully selected third-party language models (LLMs) to power Jules’ interactive storytelling experience. These models may process certain data to generate safe, age-appropriate responses — but we do not collect personal data unless you, as a parent or guardian, have explicitly enabled features that require it through the Jules Parent App.

Here’s what that means:

  • Voice interactions are processed in real-time to allow Jules to respond to your child. These are not stored and are never used to train external AI models.

  • If you enable personalisation features (e.g. remembering your child’s name or story preferences):

    • This data is stored securely

    • You can manage and delete it at any time via the Jules Parent App

  • We never sell or share your data with third parties, advertisers, or analytics tools

  • All systems comply with UK GDPR and relevant child data protection laws, including safeguards tailored for children’s privacy.
